Time of day settings

50 word reflection of todays lecture

In today's lecture we learn t about the the sublime as a representation of the real and natural as a posed to the 'picturesque' which is quite delicate, the sublime becomes a more threatening appraisal of the unknown.
In my particular work, I wanted to recreate the dark atmosphere that surrounds my island using the tutorials 'Skybox'. The sublime is created through the atmospheric effects which I will develop through particular, fog, weather, and vegetation effects.

50 word reflection of todays lecture dated: 13th august 2013

We looked at the ideas between the 'picturesque' as seen showing a direct contrast between the planned vs nature.
Often the artists reoganized the landscapes to romanticise "Nature as it should be" - I was inspired to then create an alternate approach, to develope a landscape that wasn't necessarily
beautiful', but was in fact very realistic and perhaps quite 'ugly'.

50 words reflect on this weeks lecture and unique observation 6th of August 2013

In todays lecture, we focused on the materialization of the world around us.

“An attempt to materialism of the place at the other side of appearance where we all live. The mold taken from his own body are “the closest experience of matter that I will ever have and the only part of the material world that I live inside”.

Unique observation: Don’t ignore your world. immerse yourself in life.

“man Models were made just to be photographed from a particular angle one strip of a face for example with  a lot of loose material lurking an inch outside the camera’s frame.”

50 word reflection on this weeks lecture: 30th July 2013

This weeks lecture talked mainly on the decaying details and materials of objectives and environment as observations of real life environments. The idea of decaying objects as a reflection of “seeing the world around you”, shows a higher interest in ‘reality’ then in ‘perfection’ which does not exist in ‘real life’.
Unique observation: Architecture isn’t just the process of building and creating, it is also the imagination and observation of natural forces and influences over time within a real time interactive environment.
Image 1: shows a lush green small island with a rocky coastal shelf.
Image 2: shows a clear white sand beach with a rocking shore line along a red-earth coast drop at the conclusion of the beach to the shoreline. vegetation in limited to the distance and is not a major part of the scene.

Image3: Shows a lush green under crop of dense rainforest surrounding a small moving creek.

Image4: shows an island from afar surrounded by an Erie fog and still water. The island looks mysterious although small.

Image 5: Not much vegetation on the surface, an thick estuarine to the bottom left of the page pours out into the clear blue water. Brown dirt covers most of the surface of the island. At the center of the volcanic island is an acidic water bath this is repulsive yet fascinating.
