Week 4 50 Word reflection of this weeks lecture

In today's lecture we looked at the methods, modes and applications of doing blend layer as a way of  successfully depict decay and structural failure of our structures. We touched briefly on some of the last years attempt at this skill and what was effective and not effective. We looked at some examples of real life decay and overgrowth images and commented on the different consistencies and patterns in the way, for instance "how moss grows and where".

Unique observation

I think the idea of 'moss' or vegetation taking back what humanity no longer occupies is a great idea. the state of decay is never ordinary or identical. The ways in which things decompose are often , in some ways, unpredictable. For Instance, where or how moss grows can be localized but never calculated. If it looks like its contained, it doesn't look natural. Random movement of the earth and vegetation above ground is what makes natural things realistic.
